The Right to Confidence
Pride is an integral part of queer liberation and of how we have fought for the freedoms and rights many of us have today. Over the years, as we have entered the 21st century, pride has morphed, changed, and been entirely reinvented. What was once a protest has now become a worldwide celebration of the beauty and love that creates the LGBTQIA+ community.
Accountability and Reinvestment
However, as Pride has grown, so has the involvement of outside organizations and businesses. Many of which are not in fact queer-friendly at all, or only support the queer community one out of the twelve months of the year. For many, it’s caused a great fatigue or disillusionment with the cause of Pride. Here at Pure for Men, however, our mission is to help the queer community all the time, not just when it is profitable. We are a company founded and operated by the LGBTQIA+ community, and our products and services reflect that. From a proprietary fiber blend designed to make bottom prep easy and simple, to skin care, and even products that can help spice up the bedroom. We aim to make the lives of our community, which we call family, easier and uplifted.
Finding our "why"
This year, we are digging deeper into the why of how we celebrate Pride, to remember and reinvest in the community that has made us who we are today. We have challenged our owners to tell their story, to share how queer wellness has created the community, success, and fulfillment they hold. We asked them to share how they themselves are holding the business to the highest standard of excellence and accountability. For June, we plan to share that story with the world. For our audience and dearly loved customers, we also want to share the message that we see you and that you are part of something bigger. We understand that the boldness, audacity, and vibrancy that the LGBTQIA+ community has not come easily. In fact, it is the result of a deep, profound personal journey. We know that confidence is a right that each individual has fought for, and that journey should never be forgotten, now more than ever.
Making visible change
For the reinvestment part of this campaign, we are taking strides on the same beat as our messaging and creating change we can see. From individual aid funds to local organizations, we are pledging a significant donation amount across 6 causes. Further, we plan to make the links to those charities accessible to our audience, to keep the spirit of helping one another going. Instead of sending checks to large organizations without a face, this year, we are creating an impact that truly affects the lives of individuals in our community.
